The Robert W. Craig Campground is located off West Virginia State Highway Route 46, five miles from Elk Garden, West Virginia. The campground is located very close to Jennings Randolph Lake which provides many recreational opportunities including boating, swimming, picnicking, scenic overlooks and fishing.

The resident bald eagles have been breeding at Jennings Randolph Lake for over 10 years. Bring binoculars for the opportunity to spot an eagle's nest.

Facilities

The pavilion includes a 30' by 40' canopy to protect you from the weather and is equipped with lights, electrical outlets, running water and approximately nine picnic tables. A handicap accessible portable toilet is also located nearby.

There is a shower house and full bathroom located in the front loop of the campground, as well as a bathroom with no showers located at the back loop of the campground. The electric sites offer up to 50 AMP service and there is a water fill-up station located near the entrance station after you check into the campground. Before you leave, there is also a dump station available for you to empty the sewage tank of your camper. [read more..]

Welcome to Cave Creek Regional Park. The park, which is located north of Phoenix, became part of Maricopa County's regional park system in 1963.

This 2,922-acre park sits in the upper Sonoran Desert and ranges in elevation from 2,000 feet to 3,060 feet. This desert oasis provides any hiker and equestrian majestic views. The Go John Trail loops around a mountain to provide the illusion of being miles away from civilization. In the 1870s, fever stricken gold seekers staked their dreams on the jasper-studded hills. Guided trails to these sites give visitors an opportunity to travel back in time.

With camping sites available at almost every park, the Maricopa County park system is home to thousands of visitors every year. Visitors come with their recreation vehicles (RV) from all over the country to stay at a Maricopa County park. World-renowned for its 40,000 acres of bright red Aztec sandstone outcrops nestled in gray and tan limestone, Valley of Fire State Park contains ancient, petrified trees and petroglyphs dating back more than 2,000 years. A Visitor Center provides exhibits on the geology, ecology, prehistory and history of the park and nearby region.

Camping: There are two campgrounds with a combined total of 72 units. Campsites are equipped with shaded tables, grills, water and restrooms. A dump station and showers are available. All campsites are first-come, first-served. A camping limit of 14 days in a 30-day period is enforced.

RV Camping: RV sites with power and water hookups are available.

Group-Use Campsites: There are three group-use campsites, each accommodating up to 45 people; there is no minimum person count. These sites are available for overnight camping by reservation only. Group-use reservations are accepted beginning on the first Wednesday of November at 9am for the coming year. Reservations can be made Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm by telephone at 702-397-2088. From the main menu, press “3” for group-use information, and then “1” to check availability or make a reservation.

The park does not accept reservations by email, fax, US mail, or in person. A reservation fee of $25/site/night must be paid at the time of booking. Camping and day-use fees of $20/vehicle/night for Nevada residents, or $25/vehicle/night for non-Nevada residents, must be paid upon arrival. [source]

New River Gorge National Park and Preserve provides opportunities for primitive camping only. Camping areas are located along the river. These primitive camping areas have no drinking water or hookups, and limited restroom facilities.

All sites are managed on a first-come, first-served basis and reservations are not accepted.

There are no fees for camping. Stays are limited to 14 days in the same area. Developed campgrounds are available at state parks and private campgrounds throughout the surrounding area.

There are several primitive camping areas within the park, as well as one at Gauley River National Recreation Area. All are located on maintained gravel roads, but are often located some distance from service stations, markets, and telephones.

All of the camping areas (except War Ridge) provide easy access to the river for fishing and boating. Swimming is not recommended as the New River has powerful currents, rocky banks and shoals, and sudden dropoffs. Always treat the New River with respect and wear a life jacket! [source]

Uses: camping, picnicking and fishing. Facilities: 15 units, vault toilets, tables and fire rings, drinking water, 16' trailer limit, 30' RVs.

Eight (8) camp sites are available for reservation through Recreation.gov. Two vehicles are permitted at each camp site.

Since 1987 we have been a family owned and operated campground. We are located in the capital city of Frankfort, Kentucky on the banks of the Elkhorn Creek.

The park is open from April 1st thru October 31st each year. Limited camping sites are available during the winter months. There are 125 sites in the park of which 109 are paved. Sixty-one sites have full hookup, including cable TV. Extra long pull thru sites are available for big rigs and campers that are towing.

We are a family oriented campground with amenities to meet each family member's needs. Everyone can cool off at the pool, or perhaps enjoy a quick game of putt-putt. The campground also has horseshoes, volleyball, and basketball courts available for the young and old. Children can enjoy the large playground including swings, slides and other equipment located near the general store. Hand-dipped ice cream is always a treat after a day of fun in the sun. Dinner can be a quick "catch" from the Elkhorn Creek with a relaxing game of shuffleboard as the sun sets.
